Established during the colonial tea-planting era of the 19th century, Koliabur Tea Estate is among the oldest tea estates in Assam, carrying forward a legacy of craftsmanship, tradition, and excellence in tea cultivation for generations.

The tea production plant is located on the tea estate, so that the freshly picked tea leaves can be processed immediately - the first step on the way to the superior quality. In order to produce high quality of tea, the tea estate have installed new modern machinery & equipment. Black tea is produced in five steps namely withering, rolling & cutting, fermentation, drying and sorting.
